1989 - 1990. ROSKILDE RING PARK.
This sculpturel installation in the Roskilde Ring Park (a former motor racing track) near the main station of Roskilde, is elaboreted as a reminiscence from the romantic garden, where 'The Ruin' was an essential element always placed at a central spot in the park. The artwork is installed on the fringes of the park, from where you can survey the rest of the site. It consists of an asphalt platform in form of a half circle, in which a 10 meter deep well is formed. Inside the well, at the one meter level from the top, a bronce sculpture is installed. It has the shape of a transformed diamont. Six walls made of black artificial sandstone are placed at the verge of half circle of asphalt to form a kind of architectual space.
The sculptured installation is commissioned by Roskilde municipality and The Danish Arts Foundation.
